I attended this year’s concert at Tanglewood and thought it was James Taylor’ best yet. After attending his performances in the region for nearly thirty years I found it delightful and refreshing to hear him talk, as well as sing. I love the live music but have long wanted more of his accompanying stories. This year he delivered this! The visuals illustrating his stories were like glimpses into his private photo album. I can play one of his wonderful CDs any time I want, but it is a rare treat to sit with him as if you were a guest in his living room, listening to his humorous and engaging stories. I hope he will continue to use this format in future performances.
Hey, The JT concert was a very laid-back relaxing kind of evening. Just what I like….
Yes…I totally agree.
My husband & I drove to Portland, Maine (from Montreal) to see the show. My first JT concert though I’ve been a fan for more than 2 decades.
Hearing the stories behind the songs was wonderful. We both loved it.
Looking forward to the next time I see him in concert.
PS: the photos you posted bring back great memories of that evening. Thank you
