B.S.O. - James Levine conducting Schoenberg

B.S.O. - Lynn Harrell, violoncello, Ludovic Morlot

Boston, MA Oct. 14 In the program notes, there was mention of the oddity of having a brief English 'opener' for an otherwise all-Russian program. B.S.O. - Daniel Barenboim, piano, James Levine, conducting

Boston, MA Oct. 7 To the question, Why do you think audiences continue to be so frightened of Schoenberg's music? James Levine replies: "I really haven't got a clue! Probably because there's been so much written that makes it controversial even before audiences have had the opportunity actually to experience it" (emphasis mine).

Stage set for Lee Ann Rimes at Tanglewood, July 4, 2006

Lenox, MA - July 4, 2006 Being alien to the Country music world, as you'd (use to) expect any good Lenoxian to be, about all we knew about Lee Ann Rimes was that she sounded like Patsy Cline. So, even though we were charmed by her beauty and stagecraft right away and impressed by her singing, especially by her treatment of the Cline icon "Crazy," ...
